hi...i am mainly want around 360whp but i want the capability to go to 400whp...i use the car mainly on the street with constant circuit racing use...so i want a turbo with fast spool...i have read about the gt35r's minimal lag but is that turbo too big for what i want?...i have read about people making 550+ with the gt35r...i dont want to go that high as i would be happy with 400whp at most...how would the t60-1 do?...would it have faster spool up but be more in my range?...what do you think?

If you want a fast spooling turbo that will support up to 400rwhp, I highly recommend Apexi Rx-6 turbo kit. It gets full boost by 2500rpm and will make closer to 390rwhp. the GT35R may be a little big for your need (61mm compressor wheel), you may want to research the T04E (57trim) for faster spool.

The Apexi RX-6 indeed is a great turbo, spool quick. Nice for a DD. Mine Dyno at 408 with mix of Q16 and pump gas. 650 Pr/ 1300 Sc. Pettit racing I/C coolcharge III, street port and 3mm rotor. Apexi Power FC.
Slds.

Im going to be in the same general boat here. I plan on running a S5 TII with stock ports 2mm 2pc apex seals and a water injections system and a Motec standalone. I want something bigger than the stock turbo but want a quick spool and good mid to high range power. Thoughts?>

Again, it depends on your hp goals.

apexi Rx-6 = 400rwhp
60-1 = 450rwhp
62-1 = 480rwhp
T04E = 400rwhp
GT35R = 500rwhp
GT40R = 600rwhp
GT42R = 750rwhp
T66 = 570rwhp
T70 = 630rwhp

the more hp you want, the laggier the turbo.

^ that's a good chart to go by. especially since i had it narrowed down to the precision 6768 with a .96 a/r or the GT4094R with the .95 a/r, ball bearing on both.
these cant be any "laggier" than my current turbo, that dreaded T78 .84 a/r i got over there in a bind. the problem with this is that in between shifts it falls out of boost range by about 500 rpms regardless of how fast i shift even without letting of the gas in between shifts. i have tried many different shift points and same thing. the back roads by my house know the noise all too well....lol
but i think they should carry the top end a lot better.

opinions?
